about
Grown from experience.
Western Harvest has been growing and supplying premium New Zealand fruit and vegetables from the Kāpiti Coast since the late 1970’s.
From a small family farm to a specialist produce supplier.
Western Harvest was established in the late 1970s when the Jones family purchased 16 acres of prime river silt-peat soil on the Kāpiti Coast of the Lower North Island.
We began by growing a range of crops including kiwifruit, boysenberries, blackberries, passionfruit, strawberries and pears. Later, at the request of our Australian customers, we added rhubarb to the mix.
As the business evolved, we focused on the crops that performed best — blackberries and rhubarb — which remain at the heart of what we grow today.
Built on generations of industry knowledge and strong grower relationships, we have grown into a trusted global supply partner. Our vision is to deliver consistent quality and long-term value through trusted partnerships, innovative supply solutions, and excellence across both fresh and processed fruit and vegetable products.
